It is so nice when you travel backwards through time in musical influence if you pursue independent recording engineering and arts. My huge life-changing influence was the music of Tampa artist E.N. on Cephia's Treat. When I heard projects of Genesis P-Orridge later on WMNF from Todd, total harmony.

I can't recall reading a nonfiction book as slowly as I have 'Louis Armstrong's New Orleans' by Thomas Brothers (2006). Dense with wonder and incredible detail, scenes of a kind of music paradise that just keep coming — I have margin exclams ('what!?') and notes on virtually every page.
