━ Daniel Molloy; Danny; The "Fascinating" Boy.
━ First Bluesky Account, not the first RP account.
━ Trigger Warnings for Heavy Drug Use (and other adult themes.)
━ Writer is 21+, MDNI.
He went over to his door, fumbling in his pockets for his keys. When he found them, he unlocked it and let both of them in.

"Make yourself at home."
"Third. Don't judge me too harshly when you get in there."

His apartment was shitty. He managed to score a one bedroom, but... aside from the provided kitchen and bathroom? He had very little furniture.

He'd just sell it anyway. Why bother?
— top of that, if I say my scar is a vampire bite, people laugh it off as a joke."

He opened the door for her.

"The elevator's busted. We'll have to use the stairs."
He shrugged, as casually as he could muster. Really, he loved that he knew something that most of the world didn't. But there were downsides.

"Yeah. I get to be paranoid every sunset and know nobody would believe me if I did manage to write something. On —
"Sucks for us humans."

Except, most humans were unaware that creatures lurked in the dark. Daniel no longer had that luxury.

He could see his building. Fuck, his apartment was not fit for guests... oh, well. It's fine.
He raised an eyebrow with a chuckle.

"Keeping me safe, huh? From what?"
"Yeah, well... probably for the best. I don't see Lestat letting you track him. From what Louis told me, he's..."

He trailed off, shrugging. Hiding his smile.

"I just whine about it a lot."
"Yeah?" He glanced up at the sky. He hadn't noticed.

In reality, he'd been paranoid all night.

"I guess it is. The nights are getting longer, bet that's great for the... uh... sun challenged?"
"Lestat? Lestat de Lioncourt? Like... Louis' ex Lestat? The one I spent ten hours hearing him bitch about?

He broke *your* heart?"
Daniel nodded, turning and starting to walk back. He didn't get that far from home, honestly.

He should stop trying to exist at night. Clearly, the universe thinks it's funny to drop vampires in his lap.

"It's not far."
━ mention by name, they'd get to him. Don't immediately zero in there.

"You said it wasn't your choice." He gave Louis a choice. In the church. He remembered that. "You wanna... Tell me about your turning?"
━ few seconds, he sat there like a frozen prey animal while his mind tried to clear itself. He managed to grab his glass and down the rest of the wine, forcing the panic at bay.

"Uh, haven't recognized any name but yours so far." He said, simply. Focus. If this 'Armand' is important enough to ━
━ never heard that name before. He'd NEVER heard that name before.

And yet, his blood ran cold. His heart sped up in his chest and he found his words wouldn't come. It was as if somebody dumped a bucket of ice water over him and then started hitting him in the head with a baseball bat.

For a ━
Daniel was about to ask more about Magnus. He could tell that it was a sensitive subject and probably not one that Lestat wanted to dive into fully, but he's determined to do a better job interviewing this vampire. If he's doing it, he's doing it right.

But then he heard the name 'Armand.' He'd ━
━ from Louis.

Seemingly, just as eager to spill. But he could feel the showmanship from him. If he wanted true vulnerability, he would have to push. But how much could he push before a detonation?

"Yep. My first question was: how long have you been dead?"
━ idiot when he was trying to write this up later.

"Doing great." He said, weakly. Flinching at how his voice came out, he cleared his throat.

"You don't need to wait for me, share what you want and I'll interject when I need to." He had a strange feeling Lestat was going to be VERY different ━
Being painfully American, Daniel didn't react to Lestat's nobility. What did get a reaction, though? Was his birth date. Once he said '1760,' he started to choke on his drink.

He quickly muffled that, placing the glass down so he could do so. He didn't need to listen to himself choking like an ━

He decided to try something. Instead of finishing out loud, he thought the rest of his reply. Thinking as loudly as he possibly could.

Which meant he still had to try his damn best.

"Yeah." He admitted, taking a long drag as if it could settle ━
"Bullshit!"

The word left him before he could think better of it. It's not that he thought Armand was lying, it's just that he struggled to wrap his head around him flying. He'd been wondering about it earlier, when he was debating getting on a plane. . .

Well, now he had his answer. His odds of ━
"You don't have to. It's fine."

He shrugged, disappearing to go and grab clean clothes. He didn't think much about it. His appearance didn't matter much to him.

When he emerged, he still had his leather jacket and platform boots. But, he was wearing a different pair of jeans and a different shirt.
He shook his head, laughing. He couldn't imagine NOT wanting substances.

"You don't have any vampire buddies other than Louis?" Does he ever stop asking questions? (The answer to that is no.)
━ once he was no longer panicking.

"Okay, noted, you don't like being called freaky! Could've just said that!"
━ face and let out a shaky breath. Desperately gasping for air. He'd held his breath without realizing it.

"Fuck!" There was some adrenaline underneath all of that. An intrigue. Questions. He'd probably ask about this later, ━
