Very good point.
“We fired all the competent career people and now it’s high-level loyalists trying to manage it all somehow” is run of the mill contempt. It’s not an exculpatory alternative.

If a judge orders me to do X, and my tale is I couldn’t comply bc I fired all my staff, that’s a confession not a defense.
