Starting today, I’m raw dogging the internet on my desktop because my processor isn’t Windows 11 compatible, and I’m not buying a new processor and motherboard and trashing the existing ones for no reason.

It’s funny how most news organizations are suing Perplexity, which Jeff Bezos is deeply invested in. Yet the Washington Post, which Bezos owns, is promoting their Comet browser at the expense of the news org’s own revenue. Hope this causes them to lose the lawsuits.

Despite a growing list of sanctions against attorneys using AI to include false information in legal briefs, Forbes chose to glorify irresponsible startups that are hard selling the technology to law firms in their The Prompt newsletter with the subject “A Paralegal’s AI Best Friend”

OpenAI is adjusting ChatGPT so they have more control over the political content it outputs.

They say it’s to make it less biased (their research says it’s biased towards liberals), but it’s easy to see how this can be used to brainwash people and push them towards the political outcome they want.
OpenAI wants to stop ChatGPT from validating users’ political views
New paper reveals reducing “bias” means making ChatGPT stop mirroring users’ political language.

Germans don’t believe the AI hype.

52% of German workers say they understand and can explain AI, yet only 5% have any worry whatsoever that it can replace them at work. The team that gave the survey is baffled, likely because they fell for the marketing. But actual professionals know better.
Germany news: Few workers fear AI job threat, survey shows – DW – 10/14/2025
Only about 5% of German workers fear losing their jobs to AI, with few seeing it as a near-term threat, a poll shows. Meanwhile, inflation has risen to 2.4% in September, a second straight monthly inc...

People commenting that there’s a paywall on articles is one of the most enraging things because not only is it like going to the movie theater and being like hey :( this ticket costs money :( but it’s also so easy to bypass most major paywalls if you can’t afford the subscription

Trump promised bringing manufacturing back to the U.S. in both of his terms. However, American manufacturing is on a steep decline while the AI bubble grows, leaving concerns about the future of the country’s economy.
America is getting an AI gold rush instead of a factory boom
The outcome of these trends has huge implications for workers, wealth and the future of America’s economy.

I constantly see variations of “I got told this is too good, so it must be AI,” and it never fails to make me laugh. Honey, ChatGPT is a shit writer. If you’re being compared to it by anyone who knows how to read, it’s not a compliment 😹

Bad guy OpenAI trying to strong arm critics.

It’s wild to see them try all the worst business practices of tech giants like Meta but without any of the utility. For all its faults, at least Facebook, WhatsApp, and IG provide value. Sora 2 is just vanity slop for friendless losers

Reminder that pumpkin spice does not contain pumpkin. It’s just a marketing gimmick from Big Spice to strong-arm farmers. Make sure to only buy real pumpkin or pumpkin pie filling to stick it to Big Spice and support local pumpkins.

OpenAI rewarding prompt jockeys with trinkets to fuel the addiction reminds me of my dad’s Marlboro jacket and fishing set he got by collecting Marlboro miles except the trinket is useless.

Only had to destroy one forest and one lake to get a frosted glass reminder Sam Altman is a crypto & AI bro.

What caused it is Domino’s press release and reputable news outlets playing around with the concept of “you can’t spell domino’s without the ‘mmm’” which is guaranteed to trip up LLMs, so now I’m scrolling through every article I can find to see which humans do their jobs and which use AI unchecked.

This Dominos rebrand is a fun way to learn which media outlets use generative AI to write for them. It involves the company changing the number of Ms in the word Dominos, and Dexerto here managed to miscount it in two different ways.
