Students at Endeavor Elementary created a crosswalk of encouragement. Path to success. Road to opportunity. It lifted children up every morning—until it was erased by order of the state. If kids’ hope can be erased, no wonder Pulse’s rainbow memorial was too.
Painting over the rainbow crosswalk at Pulse doesn’t erase what happened there. Love and memory can’t be scrubbed away—they live on in our hearts and in our communities. Attempts to silence remembrance only make it stronger.
