He didn't steal them, he preserved them to keep them out of irrelevancy, people bring that up alot but i have not seen one official source that claimed he stole the stories
The characters aren't racist, people decided they were just because they were around during times of slavery
Probably most of the development, and maybe i can see the "racist imagery," but honestly, it's more tame compared to something like birth of a nation. I just go back to the animated parts really
Well, yeah, the movie has issues despite the ride only using the animated segments, but i still stand by the fact that the ride itself isn't problematic/contained no racist imagery whatsoever
Honestly there's not much of a logical conclusion beyond "let's retheme Splash mountain even if it's not actually racist to get good pr points from GF's death and blm" or some shit. It was still popular, and the merch was seeling, and it being in "bad shape" applies to all of Disney at the time too.
What's wrong with talking about Splash Mountain? Still wish they didn't get rid of it
Not considering the whole blm stuff and how Disney treated Splash post 2020. I just don't think Tiana's Bayou Adventure lives up to Splash in general in both storytelling and charm. If feels more corporate to me
I can ensure not all of us are this extreme, as long as you treat me fairly and understand the ride itself isn't racist despite what people think then we're cool
I'm not a Trump Stan or something but I doubt he cares about Splash Mountain. Unless you're implying all Splash Mountain fans are racist conservatives
Probably bias, but I think the Geese and all the side Characters on Splash Mountain have more going on than on Tiana's
What does Splash Mountain have to do with politics? Even then I don't think he would even care abou Splash Mountain
In my mind, yes. Because taking the movie out, it was a good ride and really well done. I think Disney and specifically people who got into blm just for conflict messed up Splash's reputation. It didn't help that Disney pretends SOTS doesn't exist and people who hate it create false narratives of it
They won't go back on the changes tho, they think the Br'ers are racist
Tbf, Splash Mountain was more representative of black culture than Tiana, especially since the brers on Splash have been around since even before Slavery. Tiana on the other hand is a raceswap of a white princess from Germany yet Disney thinks this is a "black story".
Spending time together

Timmy spending fun time with his friend Br'er Bear.
Alot of people have made accomplishments or birthdays past February, there's alot of things related to African history to check out and understand more that I don't think should be limited to just a single month of the year.

Tl;dr even if Black History Month is over doesn't mean stop honoring them
Usually after today, people see Black History Month as "over" and don't find it worthwhile to honor black people solely because its not February, which is ashame honestly. For me even if it isn't February that doesn't mean you should stop honoring or researching African History....
Connection. Dunno why he was acting like a smartass about it, but I ig you can't talk sense into everyone on the internet 🙄
I'm starting to really feel how people just pick and choose what I explain and take it out of context :/. I had a guy acting like the 1984 movie Splash was connected to the ride and how I "didn't know the connection", outside the name and Tom hanks singing Zipadedodah, both things don't have a
Also I never said the film itself was Black culture, TF
Alright, your loss. Just don't be assuming I'm "playing victim" just because I know about the topic more than you
Despite the fact this is the same technology that Tokyo uses on their Beauty and the Beast ride, and it's normally well maintained. Disney was just lazy to work out kinks before the ride opened tbh.
