as far as i have seen, they haven't made tangible improvements to the game running better, but rather just stealthily turning on dlss/frame gen features without people noticing. i know there's supposed to be a real technical update patch by winter though

i don't think i've expressed it here enough but i've regularly expressed to friends that the issue endemic to bungie specifically is that they refuse to pick a lane between spoiling their playerbase with quick paths to "deserved" power and justifying longterm grinds that provide greater satisfaction

that's what im saying!!! imagine if bungie both drowned you in loot but tier 5s were actually a rarity rather than a guarantee. you would find people dismantling infinitely more items to retain more cores while being more decisive about their actual infusions
