The smalls and larf remain standing for hash once winter arrives. Any sign of mold, or if they go limp from 🥶 hard, they'll be cut.

Not lame at all. Thanks for the kindness. There's an amazing assortment of colours, shapes, and aromas throughout the species. I love seeing folks growing them purely decoratively in lieu of, or as well as, sunflowers. The flowers all have distinctive characters, and they can truly shimmer/sparkle!

There's usually an exception to every rule. Dangerous work if they're getting anywhere, eg. JFK.
The vast majority are only there to sell out their citizens to the highest bidder.

Not off the top of my head. I've had some ringers for it out of AfPak landrace lines, like Muree Valley.

Sometimes you can either dig it up into a pot to rejuvenate the bottoms, or root and rejuvenate a flowering bud branch, if you really want it.
