I'm an easily jealous trans woman that likes computers and ML.

Fun fact, I joined bluesky because I heard about it in the waveform podcast in this episode when it came out.
(I knew mastodon exist before but never bluesky)

Skylight seems overloaded ngl or maybe that's just me.

I feel like chatgpt and other chatbots are slowly degrading the value of a conversation for people.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is definitely just my world view bias.

lmao Bing has served me a search result of just ADs

I hate people who say no don't put safe gaurds on the ai models but do teach kids about the harms. Bruh there is research showing that does nothing.

This is some downer stuff ngl, you are looking at too much be negative news ngl.

It most likely it will be like what translator are nowadays, history repeats.

Translators are still around today but most were replaced by Google translate as it is free and the pay for them got super low.
IMHO, with the current state of LLMs, and no sign of them getting any *worse*, coding as a skill is pretty much dead. *Programming*, on the other hand, is more alive and important than it's ever been.

This is feels a like a new video game genre to be honest, where it can be generated just from a prompt.

(yes the video is completely Ai generated, also pray for our future give how realistic it is yeesh)

A good sociological explanation of why that odd "95% of AI projects fail MIT study" (that was not actually a study at all, but based on someone's unexplained interpretation of 52 unspecified interviews at a conference) somehow became a ubiquitous point of discussion last summer, and even today.

This is kind of dystopian ngl

News on my Google news feed lately:
- some company on the smp 500 is doing layoffs
- crazy new tech that will make big tech shaking in their boots (it doesn't)
- a person with a lot of power saying something unhinged.
- politics (even though I don't want to see it)

Why are we paying for input tokens? Isn't that just paying for tokenization?

Kimi 2.5 is kind of trash, glm 4.7 is still better
January 27, 2026 at 10:35 PM
Yeeesh, this is the rise of chutes in real time. They just scaled Glm-4.7 and it is at maximum load for the current scale

Site for this is here: chutes.ai/app/research...

All week so far chutes hosting of GLM 4.7 has been like this

1.Currently is hosting
2.under heavy load
3.scales compute
4.repeats

Like year ago I suggested they switch from whisper.cpp to sherpa onnx and my suggest basically got dismissed. If they had switched I feel like they would have gain more market share and grown the opensoruce ASR community. github.com/k2-fsa/sherp...

Hot take: futo keyboard is basically dead
January 26, 2026 at 11:24 AM
Cool beans it got scaled
Glm 4.7 is just destroying Chutes, I'm surprised they haven't scaled their compute on it yet.

I love chutes as it is decentralized compute.

glm 4.7 is what I wanted "reasoning" LLMs to be from the start.

Its really good, it is so addicting which other chatbot never made me feel. for me I mainly use it for role-playing (sfw). It's not a new idea to rp with a llm but zAI made it a whole lot better.
