My first macro #photography with my Ultra #LargeFormat Abracam.
I mounted the 300mm Petzval 78cm away from the screen, giving me ±49cm subject distance, and hence a larger-than-life projection (face almost covers the entire 16" image height.)

I think the public at large is waking up.
On CBC radio: demand of physical gold is spiking. Reasons they gave: gov shutdown and AI bubble.

I told people years ago: NVIDIA is priced as if they double revenue every year. While it was doing that then, it now stopped doing so, inevitably.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Why was this possible?

* higher taxes, top marginal rate was 72% in 1980.
* top universities are all public, not chasing profit.

I would gladly pay higher taxes to bring this to Canada.
Education is society’s best investment possible.

Stop the financial servitude. Tax the rich.

Also, the stipend came with free access to all public transport. Me and my buddies wanted to use it to fullest, so one day had lunch at other side of country, 3½ hr train ride away. 🚊#Maastricht.

I am Dutch GenX, and I want every young person to have the privilege that I got:

Dutch government in 1980s, 1990s, paid every University student a stipend that covered tuition, books *and* modest living expenses for six years. A wage, not a loan.
