Can a weak empty vessel bear such a huge full hogshead?
I really don't know how you battle China's IP theft and artificial undercutting of the labor market, much less the waffling production forecasts for EV versus ICE. Some people got very rich from the IPO, but now they face the pressure of delivering sales increases. www.reuters.com/business/aut...

I'm going to tackle it tomorrow afternoon. I have a feeling that requesting city services would take too long and it would die.
Walking the dog and discovering a Tesla ran over a sign and two new trees on the median of Monument Avenue. Don’t worry, there are “Slow down” Vision Zero signs on the next block. 😤🤬

Cities are developing a new approach to developing housing: Integrating it into mixed-use library projects. These investments improve neighborhood vitality, add housing & improve services.

In new research @urbaninstitute.bsky.social, I create a database of such projects & point to success stories ⏬
Aging Libraries Could Offer Cities a Unique Opportunity to Build New Housing While Improving Public Services
Since 2000, more than 1,800 apartment units have been built in combined library-housing developments. These projects not only address local housing needs but…

Bryan Park tonight at soccer practice with the sun setting, almost dark. Little four-year-old boy walking a length behind his mom and sister as they chat. He's pumping his little fist and slowly chanting "Pasta night! Pasta night!" 🤣
OpenAI's new parental controls for ChatGPT users sound like responsible product development. But they raise a bigger question: what exactly is the product? My thoughts on surveillance capitalism, teenage vulnerability, and what "safety features" actually protect. www.linkedin.com/posts/bozbos...

I have 3 children's soccer games tomorrow. Thankfully, none at YMCA fields, or in Henrico County. Totally appalling response to last week's incident from Henrico Police. We cannot normalize a complete lack of accountability by firearm owners. A loaded, chambered gun has no place at a child's game.
Verizon customer service and support has really tanked this year. After getting frustrated yet again I made the mistake of searching the internet and found a whole subreddit covering their issues. I’m sure they’re paying McKinsey a boatload and the answers are right there. Listen to your customers.
Remember a short time ago when the Federal prosecutor for the Eastern District of Virginia suddenly resigned after an abnormally short tenure?

Now we have an acting appointment with a person who’s essentially a White House aide.
After much discussion last year about how much honorary street designations cost us, and that we should have more stringent qualifications, there are seven before council tonight. Most from Trammell.
Interesting to me that the City of Richmond VA has an official Twitter page still active, but hasn't posted or replied since the water crisis. No presence here or Threads.
Made the mistake of tuning in live, and cringed (for several reasons)
I have been looking for a like new Nikon D7200 kit to use for Boy Scouts hikes and middle school sports. There are many in Japan but I don’t want pay that extra tax. So I am searching flaky Facebook marketplace and Craigslist. I don’t think this policy is hurting China dropshipping as intended.
Given how unpredictable our tariff policies have been, the companies are putting the import tax burden on customs to sort out. I think enough have dealt with frustrations from customers that dinged them (after they got a bill they didn’t fully understand), so now they price shipping very high.
