Mother. Metalhead. MD. Gamer. Chaos Gremlin. Bi. Centrist. 💖💜💙 Yakuza/Like a Dragon/Judgment is my favorite game series. I like to platinum Playstation games. It's what I do. Inbox open. Probably.

In this one you play a park ranger. Everything is going smoothly but it gets increasingly creepy and in the end there's some cult activity going down in the forest.
#Platinum 187: Fears to Fathom Episode 4: Ironbark Lookout. I love these short little indy hororr games (about 1hr40min). I've played Ep 1-3 on Steam. Only Ep4 is on PSN currently. Hoping the rest will be in time. This was just something short to do while working on the longer title.
Love to see an actual thought out opinion on this film instead of "It's not Englund so it sucks." Jackie worked with what he had and I think delivered well enough.

Fred's been dormant since then, and there's been rumors of a new reboot for years. Would you watch those/that as well?
Just heard about the passing of Tomonobu Itagaki. RIP Legend.

So, started the next game for October and we got Rick Grimes from Temu over here.
I didn't willingly pick this game. I spun the wheel and it landed on it.

So far it's as bad as I've heard.

#Platinum 186: The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes. Last year I did the first two entries of the anthology and so this year it was time for the third. This one is probably my favorite of the anthology so far. Really enjoyed it.
Due to working with the dead I have kind of become desensitized to it. When someone tells me someone close to them, family, friend, etc has died. I cannot console them. Because my mind is just wired a certain way at this point. Sorry doesn't feel enough. So things just get awkward.
Usually music for me. I have listened to the occasional stream or podcast as well. Though streams I find kind of distracting because I tend to want to chat.

I will also use these for when going for platinum/100% on games when it's just getting miscellaneous achievements done.

In Yoshi's Island, a cave background sparkles, but only when Yoshi moves. This is achieved in an inventive way by making many 1-pixel "pinholes" in the background through which a field of stars is visible. The parallax motion shows the stars intermittently, creating sparkles.
First playthrough down of House of Ashes. Not sure how many more I'll need for plat but... Little Hope took me about 5 playthroughs so. We'll see.
I'm not super big in to first-person shooters but there's a few that I really like.

- Far Cry
- Bioshock
- Metro

All I can really think of at the moment. Third-person is another story though. I dunno. Something about the first person view just doesn't do it for me.
Was curious about one of the trending topics and it's mostly just racism.
Time to dive in to the next project. Unfortunately, I am playing it through PS+ Extra or whatever. So, I only have until the 21st to platinum. We'll get there though. I hope.
It's a bit of a shame I'm ending this series of Stranga Games on a sour note, but considering I did enjoy the other two, I will eventually play their other games.
#Platinum 185: Just Ignore Them. What started out as an interesting concept of a little boy being haunted by weird monsters turned in to a reveal at the end i didn't enjoy. I enjoyed the point/click and puzzle solving and the story leading up to the end was nice but... Yeah.

Left 4 Dead 2 is $1.99 on Steam buff.ly/EV9tDQJ

Deck verified
"Why do you like wrestling?"
"Why do you like metal music?"

Stop. Why do you like the things you like? They bring you joy? Okay then. There's your answer.
It was pretty neat. Though, I wish it was a bit longer as the concept was cool.

Of course, it has multiple endings. So the way you handle each situation seems to change the final outcome/ending.
#Platinum 184: Red Bow. Made by the same people who made My Big Sister. It's a game with 'horror' or 'creepy' elements but not so much a horror game. You play Roh, a girl who keeps experiencing weird dreams where she helps people (portrayed as monsters) move on after death.
All my purchases finally arrived. I think that's it for me on spending for a little bit. Always feel a little dirty when I spend a little extra. Got the money to do it no problem. Just always been kind of frugal. Looking forward to each game in the near future.
#Platinum 183: My Big Sister. I played the Remaster earlier this year and noticed this version was back on the store so I bought it. My opinion is largely the same. I think the story is okay, if a bit convoluted. Is it a curse or a dream? I guess it depends on the ending you believe is true.
