🚀 Excited to share our recent invention from #IBMResearch! We've developed an individual-based risk from higher-order interactions in #multiomics features such as #EHR, #genomics, #transcriptomics, etc. 🧬 giving a holistic view of disease risk! Big leap towards #PrecisionMedicine!

When did we start using the term 'logical qubit'?

I just went through a few old papers to see if I could find the first use.

In 1995, Peter Shor had k qubits he wanted to store and nine that contain the encoding. But the word 'logical' does not appear.

📣 I am sure we have reached only a small fraction of New York's ML community in bsky. Please repost 🔁 this if you think you may have interested people close to you in the social graph.
I did a starter pack of people in New York (City) working on ML/AI. Please distribute and feel free to self nominate!

Is there a starter pack for accounts you do not want to follow? Or, for fake accounts? #bluesky

The sky is certainly blue!
Love the fact that my feed is full of science, politics, news, and photography, just how I want it!

The great migration indeed is liberating!! Hope the bots don't come in herds and spread vitriol just like where we used to be! #bluesky #migration #nobots

Like to do my first post in here announcing COMICAL (contrastive multi-omics association learning)! It is the first multimodal #foundation model to find genotype associations with brain MRI data. Feedback welcome!

A Multimodal Foundation Model for Discovering Genetic Associations with Brain Imaging Phenotypes
Due to the intricate etiology of neurological disorders, finding interpretable associations between multi-omics features can be challenging using standard approaches. We propose COMICAL, a contrastive...
