Born with congenital hypothyroidism, formerly known as cretinism and literally never shuts up about it. Yes, I know how annoying I am. Trust me... it's my most endearing feature. You'll get over it.

For the ones not listening in the back...

"Established genetic techniques to inhibit brain development" means they have, in fact, succeeded in creating AND establishing genetic techniques to inhibit brain development.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Sincerely,

A cretin.

"Father, into your hands, I command my spirit.
Father, into your hands... Why have your forsaken me?
In your eyes, forsaken me?
In your thoughts, forsaken me?
In your heart, forsaken me?
Trust in my self-righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die."

Do you remember why you call me monster?
And they knew what it would do, YEARS before the founding of the Manhattan Project.
The only reason i have said ANYTHING, at all, is bc i want MY conscience to be clear. Not bc I feel like any of you deserve to know this is why they did these experiments.

Your hatred for the other is how we got here.

What do ppl think I stand to gain from this? bc so far, it's been a lot of ๐Ÿ‘‡
iodine 131 is still released into the environment as nuclear waste.

It's also funny to me that i was the one who noticed they announced they established techniques to inhibit brain development, the outdated medical term for me comes from the Latin word for Christian.

Bc how am I the monster, here?
They can literally give your children cretinism.

And not nearly enough people are upset by that as they should be, considering they've moved on from radiation to whatever tf theyre doing with CRISPR now.
Imagine finding out as an adult that the hypothyroidism you were born with very likely could have not been from natural causes.

So did they all know they were giving children thyroid issues when scattering all that bs all over the world?

Do you really need me to answer that? Of course they knew.
Apparently no one believes that they would go completely scorched earth on us, like Hollywood hasnt been telling us they would do exactly that to win.

They did it to Japan. WTF makes you think they wouldn't do it to us?
What happens when a country that spread radiation from sea to shining sea for 50 years finally admits to establishing genetic techniques to inhibit brain development?

...nothing, apparently. Because I seem to be the only one who cares.

I didn't ask to be born with this, much less have to come out and be all public with it.

So if y'all could do me a favor and at least not make my journey harder by being a dingleberry, that would be great.
TFW you try to reach out for help, but people are always like "dO yOu KnOw HoW iNsAnE yOu SoUnD?"

Like... i found out through an insult (that wasn't actually an insult) in a Disney movie that society thinks I'm a monster because I was born with hypothyroidism.

i'm a little weird, I guess. Idfk.
the article doesn't state any specific "genetic techniques," nor does it talk about the bombs. but MIT was one university sanctioned by the government that participated in human radiation experiments during the Cold War.

i have enough evidence where i don't believe that any if it is a coincidence.
Guess if it had to be anyone, it had to be me. yay, me. ๐Ÿซฉ

Tl;dr: they found a way to make cretins.
development: grow or cause to grow and become more mature, advanced, or elaborate.

And i, a person with congenital hypothyroidism (aka cretinism) recently discovered that they can give hypothyroidism to children using radioactive iodine.

Which can give children cretinism if left untreated.
Inhibit: hinder, restrain, or prevent (an action or process).

brain: an organ of soft nervous tissue contained in the skull of vertebrates, functioning as the coordinating center of sensation and intellectual and nervous activity.
Established: having been in existence for a long time and therefore recognized and generally accepted.

Genetic: relating to genes or heredity.

Techniques: a way of carrying out a particular task, especially the execution or performance of an artistic work or a scientific procedure.
The way that people are being completely unserious and are not grasping (or believing) the gravity of what I am trying to say and like... i know you probably haven't learned about what i'm telling you in school, but could i request some critical thinking for five minutes? Please?
Congratulations, America.

I don't think I've ever been more demoralized in my entire life.

But I guess if nothing else, we have demoralization down to a science, don't we?
Why do I feel like i am the only person who read these words and had their blood chilled down to the bone?

Just me? Like... someone tell me i am not being alarmist here.

Human โ€œbodyoidsโ€ could reduce animal testing, improve drug development, and alleviate organ shortages.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if they paired the word "established" with "genetic techniques to inhibit brain development," that means they already succeeded in establishing genetic techniques to inhibit brain development.

What do I know? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ I'm just a cretin & also their living proof.
"Established genetic techniques to inhibit brain development."

Where tf do you think the insult came from, precisely?

What do i know? I'm just an inferior cretin, even though i don't watch #foxnews & i'm not a conservative.
