A long-sleeved t-shirt, black with white printing, for "The Book Graveyard" an awesome vintage paperback channel on YouTube. The title is printed lengthwise down each arm. On the front is an amalgam image so steeped visual cult-horror references it defies description, but the gist is a graveyard scene. Headstones bear the names of authors or the covers of adventure novels. Front and center is the head of Burgess Meredith from the Twilight Zone episode "Time Enough At Last" in the body of the hand-walking half-man from the movie "Freaks." On his left is a small demon. Behind him to the right, Conan's sword is stuck in the ground - the name Howard etched in the hilt.

The padding, glas-cast splint, and Ace wrap came off my arm on Wednesday–surprisingly, not at all smelly, & replaced by a Donjoy brace. A little bulky, some drawbacks, but an overall improvement.

Busy day, bad arm, slow going. So, here's some good advice, from the front free end-paper (ffep) of a 94 year-old book.

Unshackle yourself from ignorance. A factual education will serve you well.

Another recovery day before I try to get back to bumping my elbows into store shelves.

9/23/25 — Closed Tuesday due to elbow injury.

So humorous. The Humerus is aka the "funny bone." Really.

Mine was sticking out the back of my elbow. It popped itself back in place, but injury needs time to heal

I didn't have time to post on Saturday (oops). I don't post on Sunday (day off). I didn't post Monday, thanks to an ER visit for dislocated elbow & possible chipped bone (took day off). I'm not ambidextrous, but I miss my left arm, big time! Closed Tuesday 9/23/25. Fingers crossed for Wednesday. 🤞

This Saturday, September 20th is the Writers & Authors Symposium at Dayton Metro Library, 10am-5pm. Alongside other local writers/authors, I will be there— selling and autographing “Route.” Unfortunately (and thankfully) only one “Route” copy was misprinted, the insert page being on the wrong side.

In Archie's "Betty and Me" comics there was a run of "Betty Cooper, Betty Cooper" stories spoofing '70s primetime show "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman," a spoof of daytime soap-operas. Starred Louise Lasser, set in fictional Fernwood, Ohio. I suspect the Betty stories inspired some Riverdale TV stories.
