During his PhD he investigated amyloid-forming proteins in neurodegenerative disease. Since 2024, he has been part of Bojmar’s group, focusing on how EV’s shape the pre-metastatic niche in GI cancers.

A native of Söderköping, Erik studied medicine at Linköping. The overall aim with his research is to improve the diagnosis and management of patients with colorectal cancer, affecting almost 7000 new individuals in Sweden each year.

We are a part of the #FOSTER consortium (Fight OsteoSarcoma Through European Research). It proposes to connect multidisciplinary and patient/parent advocate expertise, at a Pan-European level to improve biological, translational and clinical research on #osteosarcoma to ultimately improve survival.
