Personally I think they lost because they had a failure of an offseason, never addressed their issues at center, made terrible moves (Kane), and have one of the worst forward groups in the league with their top C playing like a 3C on a contending team. But that's just me...

In a game where you'd have thought EP40 would come out with something to prove, wanting to make a statement vs. JT by putting the team on his back and proving to the fans that the team made the right choice by keeping him.

Instead he looked scared and played one of his most anaemic games to date.

This town spent 5 days covering JT Miller slamming his stick at a goalie and when 2 of its forwards take a photo op in front of team logos with a head MAGA sycophant who openly endorses annexing Canada, it's radio silence... Kinda disappointing not gonna lie.

- Averaging 2.68 shots per 60. Would be a career low (previous low 4.46 last season).

- Averaging 7.45 shot attempts per 60. Would be a career low (previous low 9.12 in injured 20-21 season).

I don't think I can ever recall a movie with such a mismatch regarding hype/excellent A+ marketing to actually viewing the film and it being utter garbage

Could have been an all-time classic. Instead it felt like they wrote 2/3 of a script, couldn't think of an end, so just made it nonsense instead
