Slayers becomes way less interesting in novel-form where it doesn't have voice acting or all the slapstick. It also seems... overly localized, like it's using so many terms and phrases from English that I can't get any sense of what the author's writing style is like. Bleh.

There is no "but the GOP won't do it" argument when not even half the Democrats in the House will allow discussion of impeachment.

House vote to impeach the president for high crimes and misdemeanors. H. Res 537. On motion to table:

Republicans: 216 Yay. 0 Nay. NV 4.

Democrats: 128 Yay. 79 Nay. NV 5

Monday morning, they will have clips of the protests tied to their regular robotic tripe about healthcare and nothing will have changed.

This has to be some kind of fraud. I imagine a lot of folks went to these protests expecting something to happen afterward that Dems have no intention of doing.

You know what's crazy, I don't see a single one of those signs mentioning "healthcare".

But I did notice quite a few demanding impeachment and for Congress to defend the Constitution.

It's really very simple. If Mike Johnson won't perform his Congressional duty, why is he still in office? If Democrats or Republicans won't even try to remove him from office, why do we have any of you?

It's awfully convenient that only one person can possibly swear in a new member of the House and there's absolutely no recourse if they for some reason decide not to.

If representative democracy is effectively ended by the whim of one individual, wouldn't you call that a king?
