Potentially a very bad development in St. Louis. William Contreras, an inning after taking a swing off the hand area on a catcher's interference, now leaves the game.

I just read the word "yeets" in an online episode recap, as in "she notices the arm in the freezer and yeets out of there," and ten minutes later I still have the recurring giggles.

Just read that Wisconsin high school athletes can now benefit, at least in a limited way, from NIL contracts. Too bad my eligibility has quite recently expired.

Finished Ted Lasso's three seasons to date. Great fun. Glad the show is being extended, but hard to see S4 reaching the same high notes after S3's clean wrap-up. Maybe it'll be a fan service season with familiar faces, a la "After-M*A*S*H".

Just watched a YouTube reactor's commentary on Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Hadn't seen it in decades. Also hadn't recalled the melodrama, peril, and sheer terror of the child abduction scene - yikes. The motto of the road trip to Devils Tower: leave no shock absorber untested.
