Hi Sam, following what you're up to with Tau5 and building it locally on my Mac. I've just come across a new build problem, details in my GitHub issue. Thanks for what you're doing 👍
I've known developers who would throw a sticking plaster over an issue with a promise to fix it "tomorrow". Of course after there are a dozen sticking plaster one on top of the other you remember that tomorrow never comes!
I missed the Friday last year but it's on my todo list for this year.
I hope you can take solace in the fact I too have jobs like this to do and am answerable to may stakeholder too 🤣
Really, tell me more 🧐
Love creating music? Love dabbling with the odd bit of code here and there? Well keep an eye on this project, you'll soon be able to smash these two loves into one and then explore the creative world you've just created.
It's been all Python at my Code Club's this week. From Astro Pi, Mission Zero to encapsulating Pygame Zero enemy Actors in their own objects!
So many lessons learned! 🦖
The encoding of Unicode characters in text files is sometimes a nightmare. Glad you've worked out a solution 👍🏻
We've done similar including using an indoor dog pen for a number of them when the weather was just too hot for the old girls outside and they were just pegging from overheating!
NOTE: For anyone wanting to have a go at my Wack-a-Mole game here it is on Scratch scratch.mit.edu/projects/957...
PS You will need to provide your own MakeyMakey board and Play-Doh for the full effect 😄

How many children and parents I spoke to I don't know but what I do know is that plenty of children left enthused, full of ideas with parents wanting to try our projects first before working on them with their children. #Success
From exploring my Play-Doh controlled Scratch / Makey Makey Wack-a-Mole game and using a micro:bit with a Kitronik ring of LEDs to visualise volume levels in the room to being shown how music can be created through code using Sonic Pi.
Saturday was loads of fun attending #STEAM Fest at the Hive in Worcester. I spent the day wearing my @codeclub.bsky.social hat (t-shirt), showing children how creative they can be with code.
So do you think someone at The BBC, ITV or Channel 5 might have thought, just for one second, some of their audience might not give a fly monkeys about Trump and his inauguration!
Oh not too bad, still doing my own thing. Yourself?
Yesterday was my first after school @codeclub.bsky.social session since the Christmas break and it was time to mix things up a bit. This term we're starting with a bit of Astro Pi Mission Zero!
Still near enough to Christmas! #TotallyJustified
Should creating a Nintendo Mii looking like this be considered wrong?
I know it's not until someone points this out that you finally twig there's been a picture on the front of the bottle all the time too!
Congratulations to you both 🎉
More appropriately sized furniture needed!
Too festive for tonight's @codeclub.bsky.social Coffee & Conversation meet-up?
