Not just practical effects, but a return to in-person spectacle. Photos have become social currency…and as AI craters that currency, maybe people will put their phones away and go places for actual interactions with actual creatures not on a screen. Rennie faires were like that before smartphones. 🐲
with all the understandable concerns about Al in media, I'm hoping there will be a resurgence in practical effects, because, speaking as a tokusatsu nerd, there's truly nothing like it
