Not a bad Columbus Day holiday. Got a ton of heavily overgrown, mostly dead vines cut down and put about 2/3 of them through the wood chipper. Been putting off doing it for years. Also, there might have been pizza and an extended Balatro session in there somewhere. Now, to watch this AM’s WWE Raw.

Switch 1 was the only active hardware that really needed a generational upgrade. And from what I’ve seen of Switch 2 so far, it should run most things well enough for years to come.

Considering that we’ve barely had anything that truly pushed the PS5 and Xbox Series X to their absolute limits, much less an overwhelming amount of first-party titles, I know I’m not chomping at the bit for the next generation of either ecosystem’s hardware. Especially at the prices they’ll be.

I’ve gotten hooked on a UK TV show called Tipping Point. It’s a trivia-based game show where contestants get to drop counter tokens into a giant coin pusher machine. It’s on Amazon Prime Video and it is fucking addictive! Check it out sometime!

I was going to say it was easily the best superhero movie during that time frame, but Tobey Mac’s first Spider-Man film was apparently 2002, and that one’s a classic too.

There’s something special about the portable fighting games of that era. They may not have been perfect, but they scratched an itch that the Tiger Electronics handheld games couldn’t even dream of come close to. The Game Gear VR Troopers fighter was better than it had any business being.
