Maybe sets being tied to IPs which means they have to be released within a certain time frame by a contract leading to a set being turned into larger set hastily and forced into a release window and pushing the set everybody wants out 3 more months had something to do with it. What do I know though

i don't feel like magic set surveys usually have this question and i don't appreciate the implication that content creators, who do so so much for the game, are possibly to blame for a bad set's poor performance. 👎

One of the two founders, Victor Lugo, worked at Iron Galaxy for pretty much the entire time Killer Instinct was still being updated, so he probably knows a lot about fighting games being mistreated

The 5c "put every card from the set into one deck" cards are really starting to get grating. Aang/Ezio/Cosmic Spider-man, they're all the same. At least Tom Bombadil and The Wandering Minstrel are tied to actual archetypes like sagas and lands, these ones are just kindred combat damage sludge.
