he scoffed a little at the idea of a bath, he's simply too busy to soak in the tub for who knows how long! but the moment he slips into the water he's so happy...if he does doze off you keep an eye on him, and when he starts awake and realizes what happened he blushes a deeper pink

I just feel like there’s a difference between what you said, ford might struggle to be happy all the time but ultimately he’s in a better situation, and “ford is inherently unable to ever be happy so we might as well cut him out of his family and shove him back with the person who harmed him”

Post canon Ford has moments of missing Bill I’m sure but. Like. He also wants to rekindle his friendship with Fidds, make up for lost time with his brother, and get to know his nieces and nephews. Those relationships are important and he thinks they’re important!

I think Ford will always be fighting the side of him that was tempted by Bill and the repercussions that came from it. But that doesn’t mean it will be impossible for him to find happiness with other people, or that those relationships are secondary to the one he had with Bill

Yeah it’s tough because I do like bill as an entity being this manifestation of fords trauma, and he’s never going to be completely OVER it because how could you ever be? But I think that’s a different thing than “ford can’t find happiness with anyone but the guy who abused him”
