And for those who claim that their forbearers were settlers, just a fancy word for immigrants.
Governor J.B. Pritzker:

“We’re a nation mostly of immigrants — that is who we are fundamentally at our core. We ought to always be that, it’s what’s made our country great — Immigrants are the most entrepreneurial. Immigrants are the most grateful & patriotic”

Absolutely

The police chief in Providence said that law enforcement is difficult. You have to ensure due process while investigating.
ICE is not law enforcement no matter how often Puppy Killer says they are enforcing the law.

The last 2 regime change wars the US was involved in lasted 10 and 20 years. If we get involved in such a war in Venezuela, it could mean that your children and grandkids who are in elementary school could be fighting in a way in SA when they leave high school.

We already have to see primary doc first because they submit the pre approval for us to see a specialist. This part of your argument is moot.
For all Universal HC/Single Payer/M4A advocates.

What do the biggest, expensive hospital chains do. Do they opt out and only serve the rich ?

Who in the USA gov runs the program?

R U ok with having to see a primary care doc before you can see a specialist ?

Hmm, this will not be good for fans of Olympics or World Cup. We will lose billions in tourists business. These people never think about consequences.
It's not just social media. Looks like visitors to the US from Europe and other countries that are part of the visa waiver program will have to submit an enormous amount of data about themselves and their families, including DNA, if proposed new rules are accepted

HSAs are not a health plan. Currently, you must be enrolled in a high deductible health plan. It can be used for qualified medical expenses. The amount is capped. If on Medicare, no HSA. It can’t be used for premiums.
Funny, it benefits those who can afford to put the money aside.

DOJ should investigate these threats. Sounds like it’s right up their alley these days. Oh wait, republicans can threaten, just everyone else can’t.
Who’s up to send donations to Indiana so their economy will survive.
The maliciousness of this admin is unprecedented.
Their closing message to Indiana: change your maps to artificially benefit the President's political party or 'roads will not be paved' as punishment.

They are openly saying this.

Who would want to live in a country that works like that?

Fucking idiots
GLASHEEN: Antifa is our primary concern right now. That's the most immediate violent threat we're facing

BENNIE THOMPSON: Where is antifa headquartered?

GLASHEEN: ... ... ... we are building out the infrastructure right now

THOMPSON: What does that mean?

Wonder if the DOJ is investigating this!
Lots and lots of threats today.

The first reporter to speak up, interrupt, and call Trump out to his face while he is berating, insulting and personally attacking another female reporter for no reason will be a national hero. You may lose access, but you will be a legend forever. At some point, someone has to.

Here’s a sad part of US healthcare. Many folks have plans with large annual deductibles, like $10k. If you are living paycheck to paycheck how do you put out $10k if you have cancer? Many are forgoing chemo treatment as they can’t afford it.

So tired of republican legislators blaming the insurance companies and the ACA for the high cost of healthcare when their party was responsible for the HMO act which turned healthcare from a service based industry to a profit based system.

Every couple years, I have a home health visit through my MA plan. It’s generally boring as, knock wood, I do not have any medications, I am 73. I do get that dementia screening each time. Pick the animal, draw a clock, etc. I also get 3 words to remember after more conversation. So far, I am good.

If this whole Venezuelan debacle was about drugs, why in the universe would they seize an oil tanker? Apparently, it is about oil and regime change.
History shows regime change led to forever wars.

So Dozy Don is giving $12 billion in socialism for farmers harmed by his tariff policies.

Republicans are snowflakes

I have been saying this for years. The HMO bill signed by Nixon was the culprit.

Love this
Kelly’s vibe: “Buddy, I’ve eaten freeze-dried lasagna in zero gravity. You’re not scary.”
December 7, 2025 at 8:42 PM
Dozy Don got played.
Trump rages that Henry Cuellar didn’t pay him back for a pardon by switching parties, blasting Cuellar for a “lack of LOYALTY.”

In other words, Trump admits he was trying to use his pardon power to buy Republicans a House seat.

It amazes me as Bessent doubles down on it being cheaper to live in a red state.
Twenty years ago, my late husband was transferred from NYC where we lived to Tampa FL. When I got home from the first grocery shopping, he said that I probably spent way less than NYC grocery shopping.

Imagine not realizing that mass deportations would mean criminalizing people who are undocumented which has always been a civil offense like getting a parking ticket.
December 7, 2025 at 1:35 PM
Here’s my rather simple question. How were these men hanging in the side of the boat after the first strike. Were they shooting at anybody? How were they an immediate threat?
December 7, 2025 at 12:41 PM
It seems Dozy Don wants to reduce fuel efficiency for cars. The current plan is to have 50 mpg by 2031. He wants it reduced to 34 mpg. He claims it will reduce the price of a car by $1000.
Of course you will have to fuel up more often, so gas expense will increase, quickly eating up the $1000 saved.
