There’s also a sentiment I hear over and over: if they leave the Twin Cities, they’ll just visit the same terror and violence on other Americans. So that makes it hard for this to feel like an outright victory.

People keep asking me if the Twin Cities are celebrating:

- Nobody here trusts a word the Feds say. Folks will believe it when they see it.

- Even if they leave, it will be hard for people to feel safe and normal again.

- What people will really celebrate is justice and accountability.

And nobody online seems to have caught that these are Beatles references lol
February 13, 2026 at 5:26 AM
In the Percy Jackson TV series, there's a scene in season 2 episode 5 where there are two Beatles references back to back.

Grover says something about there being "too much history between us not to give peace a chance"

then he asks Annabeth for wisdom and she says "you want some words of wisdom?"

Oh for fuck sake. How is anyone still falling for this bullshit? You can’t just dig tunnels in Florida. Our unofficial state fish is the sink hole. Anyway. RIP Harry Potter land, swallowed by Elon Musk’s giant unfinished hole in the ground probably.

Beyond that, we don't know a whole lot. I'd like to at least explore some of that Scandinavian heritage though in the future

So most of my family has been in the US for quite a long time. The branch of my family that I'm particularly interested in is my great grandfather's paternal branch. It kind of dead ends, but we know my great-great grandfather was from Norway. He came to America then left and went back to Norway.
