NON-CONventional Zine Writer preview

Karasu’s handy. He speaks French (far better than Hiori.) He pitches in when Hiori wants to have a housewarming with their friends. He gets the mail. He does the laundry. He’s easy when Hiori slides a hand over his hip, kisses him back with a kind of loneliness and desperation you only get after getting out of a three year relationship with nothing to show for it. He does edibles and watches movies with Hiori, goes on runs with him in the mornings and leads him to the cafes that don’t recognize them and have croissants that aren’t too deadly addictive. He stays in Hiori’s bed most nights.

Isagi’s eyes slowly adjusted and his head nearly knocked back against the table. Standing over him was Ego, a man he had only ever seen from behind a screen.
In real life, Ego was even more unsettling. Lanky, with bad posture, he seemed more like a caricature of someone than a real person. Isagi had always thought the reflection of his glasses were accidental, the result of a cheap, softbox lighting kit. But in Ego’s layer of screens, Isagi realized it was no accident; the man could look you dead in the eyes one second and hide behind a mask of lens glare the next.
