The Muppet Christmas Carol remains one of my all-time favorite takes on the classic Dickens story. Michael Caine is an excellent Scrooge, the songs are great, Gonzo/'Charles Dickens' and Rizzo are hilarious, and honestly, who wouldn't want to be a part of something with the Muppets? =)

A Hearth’s Warming Tail is one of the best episodes of Season 6, a musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol that gives Starlight the chance to step into the antagonist role one more time, as both she and Snowfall Frost learn the true meaning of Hearth’s Warming.

It's pretty interesting to learn that Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol wasn't just the first animated adaptation of it, but also the first animated Christmas special specifically made for television. Also, despite being blind and clumsy, Magoo's quite the actor, to portray Scrooge so convincingly.

Starting off my Christmas movie/special watch checklist with a classic: Mickey's Christmas Carol. Still one of my favorite adaptations of the classic Dickens tale, and the song they play during the opening credits, 'Oh, What a Merry Christmas Day' is nothing short of beautiful.

With it being that time of year again, I'd like to say that if you haven't checked out the It's a Pony Kind of Christmas album yet, you really should. It's a sweet and charming collection of ponified Christmas songs, and the expanded edition added songs from A Hearth's Warming Tail. =)
