We have fixed a bug related to a recent PDS deployment that affected our hosted accounts. The bug would affect anything related to handles (mentions, invalid.handle, viewing profiles, etc). Your accounts will automatically go back to normal as you post and engage. Thanks for your patience!

The blacksky.community web app has been updated to support OAuth login. This means we have gotten rid of the "Hosting Provider" field when signing into our app, making it more straightforward to use our app even if you aren't yet hosted on our PDS (e.g. if you have a *.bsky.social handle)

The ability to edit your profile's pronouns are now available on the blacksky.community web app. Reload the tab/page to see the update.
Pronouns are visible when viewing a user's profile and also as you reply to their posts. Thank you @thisismissem.social for your contributions.

I wrote a little bit about the PDS_ADMIN_PASSWORD and some painpoints with when it comes to administering Blacksky's PDS.

We want to give a brief update on spam accounts that have been sending notifications to people. We are aware of the bug, and our current fix is to remove those accounts when reported or detected. This is an issue at the protocol level and not unique to our server.
