You will need the following items listed in the picture: one 11x14 sized canvas (or watercolor paper), Acrylic or water-based paint (yellow, red, orange, purple, white or 4 colors and white), three brushes (small, medium, and large), a paint palette (or substitute cardboard, a paper plate, a Tupperware lid, etc.), an old toothbrush, a cup of water, paper towels, newspaper or plastic to cover the table, beverages, and snacks. You can also try to paint with items you may already have (e.g., paper, markers, colored pencils, crayons, etc.) or digitally on a tablet or computer using a media app (e.g., Sketchbook, Procreate, Photoshop, etc).

She is the founder of Enlight Visuals, a scientific and medical visualization studio. She creates didactic illustrations and 3D visualizations for scientific research, journal publications, medical education, and patient educational materials. She received a MS in Biomedical Visualization from the  University of Illinois at Chicago and a BFA in Studio Art from Georgia Southern University. In her spare time, she loves to paint and explore the outdoors by hiking, gardening, and camping.

Dr. Paul is the founding Director of the Integrative Center for Sleep and Performance at UCLA, a cross-disciplinary initiative focused on understanding how sleep and circadian rhythms influence health and performance across a range of human activities. Dr. Paul received his Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University. He earned his doctorate in neurobiology with a focus on circadian biology at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
