haunting ground is a perfect choice! i can say that it's a whole rollercoaster, a highly memorable atmosphere and individual moments. that one soundtrack is still playing in my head since 2018 (you'll know it)

it also carried S-Video optionally, Sony TVs liked to use that for the second SCART connection. there were also composite-only connections, sometimes the only SCART on-board was composite-only! i had one like that.

Did another playthrough of Clock Tower for the spooky month, and I had a lot of fun

I really appreciate the art in this game

Each room is meticulously designed. Clock Tower has an incredible variety of color schemes, yet the main character always manages to fit perfectly into them

chugs on Dolphin as well in the form of slowdown, but i imagine a modern computer would do better than mine. it's 512x512 in PAL50, so it's custom resolution time.

technical moments aside, the driving segments have been the highlight for me. feels good to steer and drift.

i didn't even know GameCube could do this! well, this is Dolphin, but i played it earlier on Wii Nintendont. The game is locked to 30 on 60hz, but in PAL50 it goes up to 50fps! unstable on Wii, so it's debatable whether it's even useful or distracting, but gosh does it look glorious even on a CRT TV

mine's tube is a 14" curved LG Philips, so yeah, pretty similar circumstances! it must be final then :( i don't notice it in bright games, but with something like Terminator 3, it's streaking galore
