China punched Trump in the face with their rare earth mineral controls because Trump violated his Madrid agreement with them by setting new export controls first. This is commonly referred to as FAFO. Trump will have to TACO on this because the US cannot survive without China but not visa versa

These rural villages are full of old people working on their own land and eating what they grow. The kids are off getting degrees or working in big cities. JD Vance called them peasants but they're very happy and their lives have purpose. We've lost so much of this in the US & the poor aren't happy.

I have a small dev office in Shanghai. How I ended up with it is a long story but it not only changed what I thought about China but much I think about the US now. During my first trip there, my dev manager took me to visit her home village. This video reminded me of that trip.
