It's an eternal battle, who gets the money? The wealthy will always want the power and the money.
The irony that they are missing, is that paying the lower classes raises the economy as people buy more goods. Greed at the top does nothing only feeds a few who cater to luxury.

I think Americans are realizing that democracy is a participation sport, and the the government is ours if we want it to be. I feel like we got complacent and hoped some other third party would do the work for us. Seems like we have to learn that lesson every generation.
