"Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said people who attend this weekend’s No Kings protests are 'antifa.'"

I'll go along with that. Although probably not in the way he thinks he means it.

Sorry. I read your challenge as "name at least one".

The Phantom Tollbooth
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Heckuva job, Donny!

Was about to say the same thing.

Okay, let's leave it there.

Unless you want to answer the question I posed earlier: how does it hurt Dems if a few of them go on Fox every now and again?
bjkeefe.bsky.social
I think this is true for the vast majority of Fox viewers. But in any sufficiently large group, there are always some who don't act like the mean, median, or modal member of that group.

I'd also point out that we're talking about more than "a single appearance or 2". Pete Buttegieg, for example.
bjkeefe.bsky.social
I certainly do not support "jettisoning civil rights". Who is going on Fox and doing this, though?

I also agree, mostly, with your closing paragraph. But we have lots of people. We can do more than one thing. And I'm not sure GOTV efforts are that crucial right at this moment.
bjkeefe.bsky.social
I can agree to disagree about "ineffective" but I don't see it as a "such a waste of time". If nothing else, it's just not that much time. Esp for someone like Buttegieg, who is currently between gigs, as we say.
bjkeefe.bsky.social
There's a reason his tie is always tight.
bjkeefe.bsky.social
I'm shocked, shocked.
bjkeefe.bsky.social
It's a statistical thing, basically. Whenever you have a very large group of people, they are not all going to be in lockstep. Look at survey data on any issue, even the crazy stuff -- there are always at least a few percent who are diff from the majority.
bjkeefe.bsky.social
I mostly agree, but not completely. I think some people watch it b/c that's what's on where they are, some b/c they just don't like the alternatives, some b/c that's what most other people in their circles watch.

So, there might be a few percent who are open. That's all I'm saying.
bjkeefe.bsky.social
I'm surprised at you being so closed-minded and absolutist. Fox has millions of viewers. It strikes me as highly unlikely that any statement involving "all" or "none" can be true.
bjkeefe.bsky.social
To get some people to change their minds, or at least consider it. Here, I was just objecting to the "yelling" part.
bjkeefe.bsky.social
YOU CAN DO POLLS ON BLUESKY???
bjkeefe.bsky.social
How do you think it's "actively harming their prospects"?
bjkeefe.bsky.social
2/2 "fairly well indoctrinated." Fox is on in lots of shared spaces, for example -- waiting areas, bars, offices, etc. And a household may have one rabid RWer, but other family members less deep red.

Convert a few percent: that's not nothing, esp in purple districts and states.

Sorry, but I don't completely agree.

I'm not sure how easy it is to reach casual Fox viewers elsewhere. Not saying they don't exist, just saying I don't believe it's easy to reach a bunch of them at once. (Open to suggestions.)

I also repeat that I don't believe everyone who watches Fox is 1/2
bjkeefe.bsky.social
Thank you. Much appreciated.
bjkeefe.bsky.social
Also, the Dems that go on Fox are not "yelling at people to convert". At least not in any clips I've seen. It's usually someone measured, like Pete Buttegieg.
bjkeefe.bsky.social
Don't agree with @owillis.bsky.social on this. First, not everyone who watches Fox is devout. People plopped in front of their TVs cannot be equated with people on a pilgrimage to Mecca. That's just silly.

And I don't see how it "reinforces the lies much more". (He does not explain this.)
bjkeefe.bsky.social
And does the Elno news get even better? Of course it does!

2/2 rookies a great way to get their feet wet, in races where the expectations are low.
