Lots of good specifics here from @paulwaldman.bsky.social

Maybe not the picture you wanted to see! But at least it's fading into the past.

Seeing lots of fake bleats, ostensibly posted by Trump on his Temu Twitter.

Here is a mirror site that offers a handy way to check. No ads, a search tool, claims to be updated "every few minutes".

LOL! Definitely not intelligence, unless we're going to ask a whole lot more of "artificial".

New hypothesis: the most efficient way to get people you've never heard of to block you is to say you think it's excessive to block someone for life b/c of one comment that didn't land right.

Or, maybe, to point out to someone that this is not the same as the toxic relationships in their life.
November 28, 2025 at 4:51 PM
I think this is a bad attitude. I sort of see it for someone who gets as many comments as John does, I guess, but there are some people on this site who are ridiculously easily triggered. They will block b/c they didn't get a joke, or b/c someone politely disagreed, even if the person being 1/3
Honestly "Don't Engage, Just Block" has transformed my social media experience so profoundly that it's hard for me to describe. It's just so much better to be online now.
i also liked the fact that most of us who had come from the other site had the mentality of not giving "bad actors" the benefit of the doubt on here , and told all to block, not mute, an move on

End of an Error

I just went to visit Facebook, after having done so without drama the past however many years, and it demanded that I do a video selfie, for account verification, it was said. Since I don't have a camera on this computer, I could not do this. 1/3

Good piece of work here. Too bad it dropped on Thanksgiving Eve.
Trump and his administration have targeted at least 470 people, organizations and institutions for retribution since he took office, according to a @reuters.com tally – an average of more than one a day. www.reuters.com/investigates...

Now, can the rest of us please stop doing posts that are nothing but a screenshot of a headline?

And no, "mOsT PeOpLe OnLy ReAd tHe hEadLiNe" won't cut it as a response. Posting the screenshot, and worse, no link, is just compounding that very problem.

I know it's been said a million times, but still. Can you imagine any other president coming within a light-year of saying something like this?

Not only the ugliness (cf. Nixon). The pettiness and insecurity and the need to lie about everything he's done.

Also, "I one our Nation's Districts". :D

"Trump’s drive to padlock the Republicans’ House majority may be backfiring, and it could be Democrats who emerge from the gerrymandering war with more seats. As the administration’s bravado has turned to desperation and anger, Trump has put even more pressure on Indiana Republicans to deliver."

This is really good.

I wish all people with power and/or influence would read it, and reflect on how there aren't many easy answers, and how their facile hand-waving is really not helping at all.
