To clarify/expand on Tony Gilroy’s comments re Bond, what I was pitching in 2008 was a parallel franchise; low-budget (25m), R-rated, with a different actor playing JB. An indie auteur playpen, with each story a fictional behind-the-scenes take on a real historical event (the Profumo affair, etc).

Anyone who knows me and what I’m all about also knows today is the 50th anniversary of the release of JAWS. Less importantly, the LONG-gestating project about said film is progressing…look for a year-end release. It started as a book but has morphed into something…different.
