I love it when people share their thrifty finds!

We don't have many followers on here, so, shouting into the void a wee bit.

BUT don't be shy! Show us ya bargains! Tag us in your posts ANY TIME!

I didn't buy this coat, it's still here!

I know I need a haircut, don't start.

It's Black Friday!

And this year (same as every other year tbf) we've done absolutely nothing.

Nothing reduced, nothing discounted, no multi-buy offers, no mailing list or subscription offers, no promos. 🤘

Thrift hard, buy secondhand, shop local, and support your local high street. ❤️

LOVE this 1961 Mamod Steam Roller, it's been well played with, needs a new band attaching the big wheel to the piston. needs a bit oiling. Has the scuttle for the burner and the catcher at the back.

These guys are pretty sought after so it is £100!

Buy it before I have to explain why I did 😂

C.E Hubbard really didn't like informants huh?

Just like that old saying: Snitches get described and illustrated in a 428 page paperback.

1960 map of Tehran, just gorgeous. Slight tear along one of the folds

I'm a big fan of bookshops being listed as places of importance along with embassies and government ministries.

You guys love tins right?

Because boy do I got a tin for you!!

A still sealed tiny tin of Forth Rail Bridge paint. Great if you have a tiny bridge in need of a lick of paint, not so great if you have a large bridge to paint.

Continuing our series on 'books for people that don't read books but are looking for an accessible way in'.

I present, 'Reinforced Concrete Bridges' and the incredibly popular sequel, 'Joints & Cracks In Concrete'.

Think they made a film of this one with Jason Statham playing Concrete.

October 15, 2025 at 4:29 PM
Treasure!!

One of our intrepid book volunteers has uncovered a real gem, this tiny pamphlet about the construction and formation of a co-op branch in Dunfermline is literally one of a kind (if you discount the ones which are presumably still in the walls of the buildings in Dunfermline).
