Local garment seamstress jobs are offering $13/hr in a city where renting a bedroom in a house is about $1000. I am a heavy duty canvas seamstress so very large sewn objects and I couldn't imagine getting paid 3¢ for a zipper? Making clothes is "women's work" so ofc underpaid even tho highly skilled

My takeaway from studying Indigenous American Art History was how truly epic the trade systems were. That's always what comes to mind when I think of the border wall.

I didn't know today was #nationalcomingoutday when I posted this last night! It feels so good to be out to myself. also my bf of over a year has only known me as an enby and his family uses they/them with me 😭 I wanted to tell my whole family today at a party but it wasnt the right moment yet 🌈

#queerjoy letting myself accept that I am technically trans (non-binary) and I don't think Ive ever felt more comfortable in my identity. Designing a zine to give to my parents to come out. I have been hiding from myself for years bc I fear their disapproval & I can't let that stop me from being me.

Bullies can't stand being laughed at. The best way to face them is humor, not hate. The best way to beat them may end up to be going full cosplay on them. Turn the protests into carnivals, get into their heads by having fun, when they want you angry.
