Hmm I never thought of that. I just chucked it between 2 slices of bread for my work sandwiches until it was gone.
It was a bit marmaladey - big chunky shreds of rind with the beetroot cut the same way.

Having said that, my neighbour recently gave me a jar of bonkers-sounding but delicious beetroot and orange jam.

Recipe schmessipy... there's not much to improve on equal parts sugar and fruit generally, but to offset the sugar it's good to go for a tart fruit like gooseberry or blackcurrant. Gooseberry bushes are tenacious and productive and I recommend planting one if you have any space at all.

The difficult bit was setting aside the time to rebuild a list of good follows. It did feel a bit like work for a while as I tried to interact with a dull timeline while ploughing through a big Twitter following list looking for the few that had moved over.

Totally worth it though.
