if i worked in a White House with an elderly and ailing president who had a hard time staying awake, i would simply recommend against having 3 hour cabinet meetings that are boring af and pointless and best remembered for the fact said president is sleeping on camera

I watched him nodding off during the cabinet meeting. Not interested. Too old to care.

It’s important to note from a military perspective that if a subordinate is about to give an unlawful order & his senior knows about it, it’s also a requirement for the senior official to stop him from executing it. And then counsel/discipline him.

So there’s that, too.

Get rid of income tax? There’s no free ride. Someone has to pay for the military, schools, roads, emergency response.
So the deal seems to be, drop the graduated tax (income tax) and replace it with a flat tax (tariffs). Basically shifting tax from the rich to the middle class. You OK with that?

We’ve seen how this plays out.
Danielle Smith told the convention her government will instruct provincial entities not to enforce or prosecute any violations of the federal gun- seizure program. Or pursue potential charges against Albertans who might shoot someone who has broken into their home.

What some people do not seem to grasp about Trump consistently breaking or sidestepping the law is that without a uniform application of laws, the law becomes ARBITRARY. Which ones to obey? Which ones to ignore? Exactly who is subject to them and who isn’t? A social dilemma.

Someone needs to tell Derrick that Americans do care about the rule of law.
Van Orden: "You gotta understand that average Americans do not care about these narcoterrorists at all. They care about the fact that their brothers & sisters and mothers and husbands have died of fentanyl overdoses. That's what we really truly care about. We care about our fellow American citizens"

He has a real ‘deer in the headlights’ look in almost every picture.

Trump divided the country, extorted Zelenskyy, tried to steal an election, incited an insurrection, stole confidential documents and banged a porn star. That’s his legacy. He knows he’s incapable of achieving anything good. He’s hoping his ballroom will remind people of him.

Voluntary taxes. Some people seem to enjoy losing money by gambling. Governments enjoy raking in a tax revenue no one ever complains about.
New York City is getting three casinos, a state board just announced.

"Shame on you! Shame on you!" the crowd began chanting after the decision was revealed.

Amazing that more than 500,000 people in the US are forced to declare bankruptcy each year due to healthcare debt.
The richest country in the world and it cannot look after the basic health needs of its people. Sad.
