Procedure as followed in my work is still to self isolate until the completion of two negative tests on consecutive days

Saw your post and did a test and you’re right. I’m a social care worker and had all my booster jabs up to the last lot, so hopefully I’ll be ok. I was crammed into a crowded meeting too on Wednesday though

Thanks! I deleted my post as was going to word it differently but then saw you responded.

I was writing from bitter experience after I was locked out after my keys fell out of my pocket on the bus after a very long and horrible night shift. My landlady turned up with the spare key eventually

Maybe change the lock to the type where you need to lock it with your key from the outside. The problem then is that you can get locked out because your keys fall out of your pocket on the bus

Indeed! The BBC adhering to those Reithian principles of educating and informing might be useful

My son who cycles to work everyday said it was very entertaining watching lots of inexperienced cyclists falling off and bumping into each other

I pretty regularly get to watch companies making international moves and investments and it is *frikken weird* how the UK keeps actively sabotaging them bringing investment and jobs to the UK because of myopia on immigration. Utterly surreal and perverse

I believe that either during or just after the civil war, the pope described Franco as “our blessed son”

I managed “sound on” long enough to hear what I think was “Insomniac, I’m an insomniac” or it could have been “maniac I’m a maniac” and thought more or less immediately afterwards that “pipe of crack, give me a pipe of crack” would also scan

TACO wouldn’t dare! Good luck and best wishes from the UK!

Maternal grandmother was descended from the Huguenots. Her cousin was Leslie Durbin a highly regarded silversmith that worked on the Stalingrad Sword. Paternal Grandmother descended from Palantine Germans who came to Britain via Ireland. We are all immigrants!

Or, as I would have said “I’d have no problem with that and maybe she could get some useful work experience helping people with their English”

To answer your question I’d suggest you read Dalrymple’s wonderful To The Holy Mountain
