I've found I can proofread my own copy the next day, but if you read it immediately after writing, I'll skip an error that I'd spot later.

That's the kind of thing a proofreader would have picked up in the days when we used to have proofreaders.

I find it doesn't help with my writing... but I imagine one day it will. Hopefully after I'm retired.

I wouldn't trust Chat-GPT to write anything and its research is dodgy, it appears brilliant when it comes to things like "can you check my Ghost redirects.yaml file to see if there are any redirect chains".

But I reckon that's a task a half decent coder could write an app for in next to no time.
