at least one of these analysts is pretty unsubtly conservative so i think she does a little bit of self-soothing over the permanent disenfranchisement of american labor that comes by performing racist resentment. you just gotta know when to tune out. that's my guide to #fintwt

those analysts...when they're right about things (housing, employment figures), they're really on the money about how screwed we are, but the only way us-born workers are going to work is if they become the cheapest labor source in a global market or only take jobs that can't be done remotely. hm

desantis is doing it at FL universities b/c those institutions don't have the same ability to offshore, but they can certainly outsource various to private companies who will do whatever they want or to consultancies who'll charge a premium

i follow a few economic analyst/commentator types because they have a really strong grasp on their chosen fields of expertise but im really skeptical of their theory that getting rid of the h1-b program will open up jobs to us-born workers bc the last h1-b crackdown incentivized permanent offshoring
