Such a great looking game! I had been planning to do Cheriton in 28mm, but gave up after seeing how many hedges I'd need to make. ;-) I chat with Paul Reynolds a lot, he's editing my new rules.
Vents- it's like trying to prep barbed wire. :-/
These are for the rules I'm currently writing- "Lust for Glory" - hopefully to be published next April.
Basing up the Lord Admiral's Regiment on my FK&P06 bases.
Made up some new Flags of War standards for the Royal Admiral's Regiment, 1672, predecessors of the Royal Marines.
All set up for our big game today at Partizan!
Great animation, and very atmospheric!
Blimey, does that tank have half a turret, facing to the rear? Is it designed for a fighting retreat?
Tarting up a battalion of Dutch Guards, flogged to me by Raglan of this parish. They now more or less match the 1st Bn, behind.
Very nice- are you using a pen to do the shield designs?
...and the 4 huge terrain cloths from yesterday; 29' of battlefield.
I have more-or-less finished a dozen WSS dragoons; two dismounted squadrons of six. Basing tonight!
Some more work on my new terrain cloths; vigorous brushing softens and lightens the colours. I plan to spray again with a final topcoat if the weather stays sunny.
Indeed! A period i aspire to.
Great-looking armies! I'd love to fight Aughrim
...some days, I have bags under my eyes just like the ones on the chap on the left.
I finished some drummers for my French regiment "Nettancourt" in livery colours. I've tried to paint detailed faces on these- they came out pretty well. Also happy with the lacing. Took a long time, though. :-/
I'm not sure whether I could a) get a big enough table at a show or b) find the required 12+ players.
I reckon they would take 2,500 28mm figures, perhaps 80 battalions and 100 squadrons. I'm not letting the fact that I only had around 1,000 based so far, put me off. ;-)
Today, I have mostly been spraying terrain fleeces with the help of chum Ian. Enough for a 28' table; future-proofing.
Nicely done! I enjoyed doing some myself, recently.
He was on Volage. I have a cassette recording he made about it- I think he swam with a line from one ship to the other, swam around the bow to inspect the damage. Alas I don't have a cassette player or a transcript!
