#thinking about how mcvries, after saying this, saving ray’s life twice-ish in the <2hr movie will somehow never properly resonate the way it does in the book, where over and over again through 18 chapters he risks himself to pull ray from the brink all while they lose their sanity and senses
#thinking about the long walk (who’s surprised) and how in the movie this line became just “i like you, but if you fall over, i won’t pick you up”

i haven’t stopped thinking about this movie, cooper hoffman and david jonsson, and THIS. bc it’s so clear to me that the only plot changes i really disliked (one of the backstories and the Very Ending) were so the big name mark hamill could have more screentime and yet he lowkey sucked in this???
