How I find them is by listening to their comments about people that look objectively good (based on societal norms). They say things like, “as much as I can't stand that she killed her kids, she is still so hot to me.” #observation
Some people only truly care about looks, but in order to not appear vain they pretend to care about the character of a person. And I'm not talking about romantic relationships here. Some people judge people in general completely based on looks.
So comments like because “you're black you're more violent” are inherently racist. Versus, “white people do abc because of white privilege/supremacy ideology” -history and current events support this comment. The comment is not based on any assumed aptitude of white people.
of, relating to, or characterized by the systemic oppression of a racial group to the social, economic, and political advantage of another - Merriam Webster definitions.
Let's discuss racism so people can stop using the word incorrectly. Racism: having, reflecting, or fostering the belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
Then someone who apparently had not experienced the pain of losing a child to gun violence says, it's part of the plan that some will die in order for the country to realize the principle of the right to bear arms. And then he falls to the same consequences. What reaction do we expect from
Some people argue that due to the prevalence of mass shootings, we need to improve gun control. Not saying take guns away, because it's so ubiquitous within the country. However, common sense and research-based gun control should be implemented.
The interesting thing about the Charlie Kirk shooting is that some people often talk about the consequences of specific policies, but those who haven't experienced the described consequences like to always minimize those consequences. For example 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾
Someone who trained for 12 years on how to pack a parachute or someone who didn't, but is liked by the pilot? We can apply this to all the vaccine, economy and international policy debates #competence#is#the#name#of#the#game
I think the best way to ask people about their most objective perception of competence is to ask: if you're jumping out of an airplane with a parachute, who would you prefer had packed the parachute?
This #random#thought is based on god being a vastly more advanced and intelligent form of life that grew lonely and decided to create us. I promise I'm not high 😂
What if god can see and hear everything but can't read minds without doing extra work to analyze the neural chemicals that form our thoughts and memories. So unless you're praying in a way god can observe easily, god won't do the extra work to figure out what you're praying for
Some of us are pursuing self-improvement while some are pursuing selfish riches. The right amount of personal wealth lies between these two groups, and so does the hope for humanity's survival
“Someone who doesn't have anything to lose will not understand why you move the way you move” especially if the way you move is how you got the things you have to lose
A realization that could change how I see life forever. At some of my happiest or life-changing moments, I was alone. Yes often there were people there, but not people I was intimately sharing the moment with #Doingthework
It's disheartening that people’s is measured by how much abuse they can take. “John was a great employee, no matter how bad things got, he never cracked under the pressure. He kept rowing.” #Selfworth
A @christianjmaldonado post. And I know every poor #maga#cult member believes in their tiny heart that they will get to lick some sweet sweet trickle-down from the boots of corporations and rich people.
The way black people just make stuff cool and add to the cultural norms of the U.S. is not talked about enough. I've read a few articles and heard on a few TV shows the expression “Living your best life” in recent days. Before it was popular, I heard it from my wife! #culture
I know they don't, otherwise we wouldn't have to go through these periods of ignorance every so often. But I had the thought regardless. They are like toddlers, always having to #fafo
I wonder if the type of people that vote and gravitate towards people like the #maga#cult dear leader ever think to themselves “Man, I've made the wrong choice in so many aspects of my life, let me examine what influences me towards those decisions”
