🚨Another couple of season tickets have sold for our Wyrd Revels - 21-25 Oct - which is super exciting as it's still July!
It's not a big venue, so why not pop down to Kennington in the autumn for some witches, demons, cunning folk, and revenge!
See following posts for details and links! #horror

For reasons, it would be v. helpful to have information from a broad range of academic and non-academic (incl. GLAM) users of the BBC Written Archives OTHER THAN historians, briefly on: 1) What you've used it for and 2) How the proposed changes would impact on your research.

@gregmw4.bsky.social and I received the wonderfully welcome news that 'Predramatic Theatre' has been accepted for publication by Palgrave following peer review. Who knows? It might even be out by Christmas! It has certainly been a gift working with my mentor on a topic we're both passionate about.

🧠Fun Fact: our Wyrd Revels season was almost entirely chosen by our patrons. Every year we have a big vote, and the highest ranked choices go into production or development. Doctor Faustus came top, then Witch of Edmonton and Wise-Woman of Hogston.
Which means, it's time to do it AGAIN!

🔊Latest release for our wonderful patrons. It's another look at the cony-catching pamphlets of Robert Greene, with a look at a notable knave who for his cunning deceiving a gentleman of his purse, scorned the name of a cony-catcher & would needs be termed a fool-taker

We had hoped to produce The Monuments of Honour by John Webster as a live show on the 400th anniversary last year, but alas, sometimes shows don't happen. Instead we recorded this as part of other projects in time for the 401st anniversary. Other LMS are available! audioboom.com/playlists/46...
