My character Odd, a pink skinned astral elf with scars on her wrists, the side of her face, and one large spider webbed scar in the center of her chest. She has shaggy wolf cut styled white hair, with two long strands on either side of her face trailing down to her chest. Her ears are long and end in two antenna like points. Her eyes are small galaxies with bright stars as the pupils. Her index finger is cut, bright silvery glowing blood, like molten starlight, is seeping out and dripping down to form an arrow.she is dressed in a loose flowy shirt, and a large fur trimmed winter coat.

A goblin woman with olive green skin, scars down both eyelids and a chunk taken out of her left ear. Her chestnut hair turns orange near the ends and is warn in bubble braids. Her scarred hands are bound in bronze chains as she prays

RIP Drew Struzan - a man whose talent and imagination etched onto so many minds throughout the last 40+ years.

His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.

An idea for this guy

The green guy described at the end of this comic this is reposting is stopping a massive sword, like the Dragon Slayer sword from Berserk, with the pointer finger of his left hand. He is now revealed to also wear loose warm-grey sweatpants and white poofy sneakers. Text says "Idea: He DOES have immense strength and magic, but it's all concentrated in 1 finger."

That same guy is on one knee, firing a massive blast of magic from the pointer finger of his left hand. The blast is colorful, with stripes of yellow, green, and purple, and stars, arrows, and spirals of various colors within it. He is steadying himself against the clearly substantially force of the blast, like he just fired a rocket launcher.

Fundamentals are getting better too. I'm finding ways to bait stuff out, I'm getting stronger at defense (holy shit delayed tech I love you) and I'm not just using drive impact as a skip neutral button any more.

And oh man, the mix-ups. You put the right stuff out and you feel like a legend.

The thing I'm reminding myself is that no one was born good at these games. The people who play them practiced and trained and played until they had strong fundamentals, good mechanics, and solid game sense. If they can do it I can too, y'know?

Like... damage be damned, I landed a 17-hit combo today. I did that shit. And then I did it in a match. What?

It all feels difficult at first. It feels like "Man, how am I going to remember all these steps?" But then you do it one thing at a time, and you learn, and you suddenly just GET THERE. 😲

Honestly just the fact that I'm pulling any of this off is really satisfying to me. Mentioned this on stream tonight, but I thought for years that I couldn't do this stuff, and now I'm doing it and it feels so COOL.

I WANT to like it! Because it's not going anywhere, and it seems like the majority of people are fine with it to the point of insulting you if you aren't. And I do know the downsides. It just feels... not good.

There's just so much to it that feels bad. The faster specials, the lower mental stack, the ability to do combos at levels where people notably cannot do combos... I dunno, I'm glad more people get to play the game, but I feel like I always feel bad against Modern, win or lose.

Man... I'm still trying, but I still just really do not dig Modern controls.

It just feels so bad having every veteran player tell you not to learn combos, and then losing to someone who can punish way better than you ever could because they can mash out a combo.

It doesn't sit well with me when a country's government is bad, and you choose to direct your anger at the people who live in the country instead of that government.

Hate when people treat individuals poorly based on a larger demographic group they happen to be part of, instead of their actions.
