Great to see Secretary of State Wes Streeting announce the rebuild of North Manchester General Hospital in the most urgent phase.

North Mcr desperately needs investment and our residents deserve the best the NHS has to offer, it will also spearhead ambitious regeneration 👇🏼
Good morning out and about in Burnage talking to residents, doing casework and delivering our helpful info guides.

Overnight tonight we will mobilise the single biggest change to buses in the UK for decades as the remaining half of services in GM come back under public control.

Thank you to everyone who has worked through Christmas and New Year to make this happen. 🙏🏻

2024 was quite a year for Manchester. From world class events, more jobs and a record number of council homes built.

Here’s to making Manchester an even better city. The best place to grow up and get on- where everyone benefits from our growth.
In Manchester we are working hard to prevent and reduce homelessness.

Support from Government is crucial for us to meet our ambitions. We know Govt is committed to working with us to help end homelessness.
Lovely afternoon out and about in Burnage. Firstly our coffee afternoon with @gwynnemp.bsky.social and I, followed by popping into the delicious Sofra Dahlia Cafe!

After 14 years of cuts and underinvestment, the road to recovery is long.

Good to see investment in our roads, buses, police, children and young people and so much more.

Locally we will always stand up for what Manchester needs.
Manchester is building more council and social homes than at any point in the last 15 years.

Last year over 600 new council, social, genuinely affordable homes low carbon homes were built and we’re onsite with another 2,248.

Working with Government & GM we want to exceed our 10,000 target!
Great to speak this morning at the GM Social Enterprise Summit to 150 Social enterprise leaders.

We want good growth, that benefits our people and our communities- with wealth that stays in GM. Our social economy is growing, and one of the best ways to do this!
Great conversation this morning!
