Veridius is missing another update because the technical issues at #patreon are still ongoing. This has been extremely frustrating cause its basically crippled how I post this stuff.

If anyone has any ideas on other ways to get a serial out with self-publishing by all means give me recommendations.

Therapy helps. r/cancer, surprisingly, can help on days when people aren't woe is me. It sucks I know. I had a lot of people ghost me cause of the diagnosis, but others cropped up and helped pull me out of my hole. As Mr. Rogers says, look to the helpers.

It a serial, so some (a lot, an entire novel) is basically done, this chunk I was talking about is in beta, and I've got about forty-to 70ish chapters very alpha, and yet some is still in my brain.

To be clear I've been working on these specific 90 chapters for about 4 months and finally feel ther are ready for beta, if that makes sense.

I did finish a major reread/edit of about 90 chapters of #Veridius tonight.
I even sent it to my beta reader.
So, even if I can't post it folks, know there is like, 160 chapters waiting for a read in various states of editing from finished to a lil raw.

Oh I thought ko-fi was like a mini go fund me. I think that's cause of the people I've seen using it for specific goals (moving, medical care expenses, etc)

I will look into it, as while there is body horror in my book, and trauma stuff, there isn't a lot of active nsfw stuff.

Getting it is just wandering around, talking to the people who's posts you appreciate. It is like wandering around a big party, mingling, rather than sticking a sign out and expecting people to come to you.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
