How do you want to BE in your life, leadership, and social justice work? What quality of presence do you want to embody?

This week's Substack explores that wisdom, so we can be more skillful and sustaining in how we show up for what we care about.

I'm always aware of the fraught nature of the Thanksgiving holiday.

May we practice holding multiple, even dissonant perspectives. Wholeness tends to live in the relations between all those perspectives.

Sending deep care and gratitude for you all.

Who are we called to become, beyond what this culture has told us is possible?
As we experience the crumbling of Empire, we are called to world-build, to co-create a more just world.
New Moon wisdom reminds us that before that world emerges, there is deep mystery and the unknown.

While everything feels and is urgent, we can gain some wisdom from the lunar cycles. In Minneapolis where I live, the moon is waning today, reminding us of a different kind of power: the power of release.

Had so much fun presenting this talk on how to be an effective Ally for an LGBTQAI+ ERG.

It was lovely to have an engaging discussion with people who care. We need that these days!

Looking for a program for your ERG? Let's talk!

Before the calendar. Before the list. Before being "productive."

We can just BE.

There’s a way of living that starts with wonder, not obligation.

This is about reclaiming the energy of aliveness—& remembering that our days can move at the pace of breath, rhythm, and belonging.

Lately, I’ve been reimagining how I move through time—not by managing it, but by living it.

When I orient toward what nourishes me—toward the enchantment of the natural world, the rhythms of slowness and breath—everything else begins to fall into place.

What do you need? Just for today, for this moment? Can you give it to yourself or allow yourself to receive it?

My own grief and fear of uncertainty is also resonating with that of those around me, many of whom are also feeling a mix of complex and overwhelming emotions. We are in the energetic and systemic field together.

Our own grief can also open us to deeper connection to others.

Leaving is never just an act of walking away. It’s a ritual of unmaking. It’s the shedding of skins we once needed, the tender dismantling of what no longer holds us. It’s the heartbreak of gratitude—for all that was—and the terror of the unknown that follows.

Leaving is often a messy, complex process, whether we chose to leave or had the choice foisted upon us. This Substack series reflects on that process. along with journal prompts to support you in your own process.

With all that's happening in the world, joy and beauty can feel hard to access. And yet, taking even a few breaths to notice beauty or cultivate joy can help us meet these moments with more creativity and resource. What's one joyful moment you can notice today?
